Slumber Parties in Teepees: We require all guests to be at least 6 as we don’t want anyone running around in excitement and accidentally running through a teepee as it could potentially harm them.

The age limit depends on the size of the guests. Typically we say around 14 although petit adults could in fact sleep in the teepees. We do offer an indoor camp out option for larger teenagers if the bell tent isn’t suitable.

Slumber Parties in Bell Tent: Typically we recommend guests are at least 12 for outdoor slumber parties. We do acknowledge everyone’s comfort zone is different. Some children are fine sleeping in the backyard at 10 and others are still scared at 13. Therefore, it is ultimately the parent’s decision for the bell tents.

Each tent is approximately 85cm wide x 1.6m long. The tents can be set up in any given format that best suits the layout of your room. Please feel free to text the room measurements and a picture to 0411394955 and we will do the math for you to ensure the teepees will fit.

COVID19 Restrictions: we are required to ensure 1.5m is between each tent and we are limited to 1 person per 4m2 at this stage. Please call us on 0411394955 to discuss prior to booking.

We have 3 tent sizes and they require the following:

  1. 4.5m Bell Tent with mesh walls requires 5m x 5m of flat grass in order to be staked into the ground securely. Maximum occupancy of 8 (COVID19 restrictions allow only 4).
  2. 5m Bell Tent requires 6m x 6m of flat grass in order to be staked into the ground securely. Maximum occupancy of 10 (COVID19 restrictions allow only 5). Please note: this tent does NOT have mesh walls so we recommend it only be booked for cooler months as it can get quite hot inside.
  3. 6m Double Door Bell Tent with mesh walls requires 7m x 7m of flat grass in order to be staked into the ground securely. Maximum occupancy of 16 (COVID19 restrictions allow only 7). We recommend this tent for chill out zones, baby/bridal showers or wedding receptions as it has 2 entry points which allow for easier traffic flow during parties

Please note: We are not able to tie guy ropes to fences, trees, etc… as it interferes with the tent’s structure, stability and overall guest safety so please ensure you have enough space. If in doubt, please text measurements and a picture of the yard to 0411394955 and we will happily assess for you prior to booking.

It’s good to have a nice amount of space so it doesn’t feel cramped. For the cinema screen you will need 3 meters long by 2 meters wide on grassed lawn as it must be pegged into the ground. You will then need at least 3m for the projector and space to set up the chairs but that area depends on how close you want everyone. COVID19: we are required to set the chairs 1.5m apart at this time.

When we deliver your party hire; we will setup the cinema screen in your desired location and stake it down. It must stay in this location until we come back to take it down as it is an inflatable and can take flight if not properly secured. We ask you not try to move it as the stakes are screwed into the ground. The stakes and ties have been broken by others trying to help pack down before we arrived before. We do ask you unzip the screen and roll it up lengthways to help keep it wrinkle free though. Thank you.

We will setup the projector/electronics but this must stay inside/undercover until the movie is played, if it rains you are not allowed to take the electronics into the open. You will be responsible for costs to fix/replace if the electronics are water damaged while in your care.

The screen can get wet although the raindrops may affect the picture quality.

We cannot supply the movie due to licensing requirements nor can we set the screen up in a public place such as a footy club, park or front yard facing towards the street. Basically, the screen has to ensure the movie can only be seen by invited guests and the public can’t view it in passing. Please feel free to call 0411394955 to discuss further.

The hire comes with a DVD player (with USB) but we can also hook up any streaming device you have such as Apple TV, Telstra TV, Chromecast, etc… We can also connect a gaming console or computer via HDMI so you can stream your chosen movie. We do have the adapters needed to connect a Wii, Microsoft Surface Pro or MacBook as well. Please call us with further questions or concerns.

Yes, the tent is canvas and if it rains it won’t affect the inside of the tent; however, there may be leakage along the seams in torrential instances. We advise everything is pulled away from the walls. Please be cautious of tracking mud inside or you may be charged an excess cleaning fee up to $100 depending on how much cleaning is required to remove the mud.

Slumber Party and Indoor Camp Out – This is an indoor only hire so you’re good to go and we won’t rain on your parade. Please check the below cinema information though if you have also added a cinema to your party.

Cinema – We are constantly checking the weather radar before your party and if it’s raining the morning of your party we have a couple of options:

  1. You have until 8am on the party day to reschedule if bad weather (rain, storms, fire or smoke) threatens your plans.
  2. Our inflatable screen is of a good size and if it rains the screen can be setup inside your house, if not we recommend you plan an alternative undercover or indoor venue.

If in the event neither option is possible, we are unable to offer a refund but we are happy to give you a credit to be used within 12 months for the cinema and any applicable extras.

Bell Tent – Our bell tents are waterproof so you may proceed with your event/party but please be careful not to track mud into the tent as this will incur an excess cleaning fee up to $100 depending on how much extra cleaning is required.

Alternatively, you may decide to postpone your event for no additional charge but we need to know by 8am the morning of your event.

Please do not hesitate to call or email with any concerns in the lead up to your hire.

We require a $100 deposit to secure your booking, with the remaining balance to be paid 7 days prior to your booking date.

Bookings are contingent on the QLD Government lifting restrictions in line with their released plan. At this stage, June 13th is the date although we are limited by the 1.5m distancing requirements as well as needing 4m2 per person for inside parties; this includes the bell tents as the windows will likely be closed at night to conserve warmth. We will be closely monitoring these restrictions and will be in contact if you party is unable to go ahead due to restrictions. We have amended our cancellation policy during this time in an effort to be fair.

COVID19 Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation is permitted but we would appreciate you trying to reschedule so we can assist you to make long lasting memories. In the event you are unable to reschedule; a full refund may be available if the party is cancelled due to QLD restrictions and is subject to our approval.

Non-COVID19 Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation is permitted but we would appreciate you trying to reschedule so we can assist you in making memories. If in the event you are unable to reschedule the following cancellation policy applies:

21 days prior to your hire you are able to cancel a party with a full refund.

7-20 days prior to your hire you may cancel and will receive a full refund less the $100 deposit.

0-6 days prior to your hire and you forfeit the full amount paid as there isn’t much likelihood of re-hiring with such short notice which is why we allow you to reschedule up to 12 months out.

As stated though, please call us to discuss your situation as we will try to be reasonable and accommodating.

If in the unfortunate event that Starlight Parties is unable to honour the booking and it cannot be rescheduled, then a full refund will be processed back to your nominated account.

Yes all of our hire options include delivery and set up and we return the following day to pack up and take the laundry with us. Delivery is free within a 25km radius of Tanah Merah.

For delivery outside this area, please contact us for a quote.

Due to insurance and the large size of most of our products, we do not allow hire pickup at this time.

Linen and slumber party covers are laundered after each hire. Mattresses are only hired with protectors to ensure strict hygiene and are spot cleaned or replaced as needed. All items are stored in a smoke-free, pet-free environment.

COVID19 considerations:

Please be assured we are taking every precaution to stop the spread of germs and will be disinfecting everything in between hires. We also ask that you let us know if someone is sick so we can work with you to reschedule the party.

Standard hire period is for one night unless otherwise stipulated or arranged.

Delivery and pickup times will vary depending on the number and location of that day’s hires. We will contact you 3-5 days prior to the party to make arrangements for delivery and pickup and we will endeavour to work in with your availability.

Please feel free to put your availability or limitations in the comment section when booking as we will do our best to accommodate your requests. Please also include the party start time so we can take that into consideration when scheduling our delivery run.

We may occasionally hire other companies to provide services on our behalf, including but not limited to handling customer support enquiries, processing transactions, or providing hire equipment/services. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the service. Starlight Parties takes reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information.

Use of your personal information

For each visitor to reach the site, we expressively collect the following non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to browser type, version and language, operating system, pages viewed while browsing the Site, page access times and referring website address. This collected information is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, trends and delivering personalized content to you while you are at this Site.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will use for these new purposes only, data collected from the time of the policy change forward will adhere to our updated practices.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Starlight Parties reserves the right to make amendments to this Privacy Policy at any time. If you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the Site.

Accessing Your Personal Information

You have a right to access your personal information, subject to exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know. You may be required to put your request in writing for security reasons. Starlight Parties reserves the right to charge a fee for searching for, and providing access to, your information on a per request basis.
